Music Performance Anxiety & Focal Dystonia Overcoming Site for Musicians | Psychotherapy to Get “Better"

Even though you love music so much, is performing live terrifying to you?
Using the psychotherapy I developed and used to overcome my own 9-year struggle, let’s begin the “mental tuning" for musicians.

Are you struggling with things like these?
- When you try to play and reach for the strings, your fingers start trembling so much you cannot play.
- Your hand holding the drumsticks locks up.
- Your fingers twist when trying to press the keys.
- Your voice cracks when trying to sing in a high register.
- Your voice sounds rough and gravelly when trying to sing in a low register.
- You completely forget passages of music you thought you had memorized, leaving your mind totally blank.
- You cannot perform as usual during concerts or auditions.
Stage fright is often dismissed as simply being a “nervous personality." However, there are many people who struggle to improve even though they perform in front of people repeatedly.
Furthermore, focal dystonia is often treated as an “incurable disease of unknown cause," with some people resorting to stereotactic brain surgery—a procedure that carries the risk of irreversible side effects—as a last resort.
I suffered from stage fright and spasmodic dysphonia (laryngeal dystonia) for 5 years, developed my own psychotherapy, and spent 4 years overcoming them while using recitals and competitions as my own experiments.
Stop blaming yourself !
Please stop telling yourself, “I didn’t practice enough" or “My mentality is too weak."
The trembling hands before a performance, the mind going blank, and physical stiffness can be overcome by correctly understanding the mechanisms of the brain and body, and “tuning" them like a musical instrument.
There are no “armchair theories“ here. Everything I share is based on the real experiences of myself and my clients—methods that truly worked.
Music is a wonderful art that can bring happiness to people regardless of race or national borders. Please fill the world with love and emotion through your music.
If I can play even a small part in helping you do that, there is nothing that would make me happier.
